Every day I get to contribute to dialogue that matters, discover new ideas and information, and synthesize a jumble of facts into a (hopefully) cohesive narrative.
Even better, I get to to talk to people and share their stories. It’s an enormous privilege that carries a lot of responsibility, and I don’t take this lightly.
I studied at the UBC School of Journalism, where I finished top in my class and went on to work at CBC where I now work as a reporter and associate producer.
I’ve also written and produced stories for the Globe and Mail, Business in Vancouver, and The Tyee. My multimedia work has been nominated for a Canadian Online Journalism Award.
A bit about me:
I live in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island with my husband, preschooler and our chihuahua. I was born in France and have lived in India, the United Arab Emirates, Gabon, Canada, Czech Republic, France, and Alberta.
I became a reporter after first gaining some life experience working in the non-profit and education sectors.
I’m constantly trying to catch up on my long list of films to watch and books to read. I recently found out that the Japanese have a word people like me who buy books and let them pile up around them: tsundoku.
I also like to spend time in the outdoors. I’m an excellent spotter of harbour seals, a pretty good cook, and a slow runner.
